Who should come?
Dogs do not have to be
ball crazy, but they do need to be good with other dogs, with a strong
desire to work/play with their person.
Description of Treibball:
Treibball is the hottest new sport in dog training. It started in
Germany as an activity for herding dogs that didn't have access to
livestock, and videos posted to YouTube in 2010 quickly went viral
among people interested in dog sports. In competition, dogs are asked
to run away from their handlers around and behind eight exercise balls
(set up similarly to bowling pins), wait until directed, and then drive
the balls one at a time into a soccer goal. The skills needed for
Treibball are fun to train and useful for other activities, as well as
at home.
